Fritz and Rose Plapp emigrated to America in 1925 from Germany where Fritz was a certified Metsgerei (master sausage maker). In 1927, they started Superior Meat & Sausage Company, located at 39th and State Line Road. Fritz passed along his recipes to his two sons, Fred and Elmer. They moved to our present location in 1969 and added a retail store. Fritz's is still family owned and operated by Marvella Plapp, Kurt Plapp, and Karen and Bob Reeves.

Fritz's Superior Sausage Co., Inc. is dedicated to producing only the finest quality meats and specialty sausages. We slowly cook or smoke our products over hickory wood, providing our own unique flavor. Only the highest quality spices and choice meats are used to produce the wide variety of sausages, franks, K. C. original deli meats, hams, turkeys, baby back ribs and chickens.
